Development takes 3 things: hearts, hands and minds
In
other words, we are motivated by a social conscience and we
recognise that development takes a lot of hard work and a lot of
sound business planning.
Our long term goals
and how we plan to get there
Our aim is to see all projects handed over to be managed by local people. However, every project is closely monitored and assessed every step of the way – there is no deadline for handover. Projects are only handed over to local
managers after
they have shown they are able to effectively manage the project. Even after handover,
Community Outreach still has a managerial role and always keeps the
responsibility for the finances.
Just like people all over
the world, Kenyans need employment to lift them out of poverty.
Community Outreach trains and employs Kenyans on all its projects.
Our education programmes ensure better employment prospects
for rural youth.
