ConnectSwiss
ConnectSwiss is a charity registered in Switzerland (CH-550-1067424-1) which
has a board of 6 Swiss professionals. Its principal activity is fundraising for projects in
Africa. ConnectSwiss is audited in Switzerland.
Community Outreach Centres
Community Outreach Centres is the local NGO registered in Kenya since 2004.
Its board consists of 1 Swiss, 1 British and 4 Kenyan nationals. All Community Outreach board members live in the rural area where the projects
take place. There are no town offices. Community Outreach
Centres is audited annually and its accounts are submitted to the
NGO Coordination Board in Nairobi.
The 2 organisations work in
close partnership to improve life for rural Africans. We are a ‘no-frills’ organisations: we don’t spend money on seminars, offices or luxury cars.
In 2009, our
board covered all administrative costs of running the organisation,
so 100% of donations went directly to the projects Most of the administration is done by unpaid volunteers, which enables more funds to be spent directly on the projects.
All board members in
Switzerland and Kenya give their time free of charge. Community
Outreach uses donations solely for the projects specified by the
donor.
CVs of the board members are
available to sponsoring foundations.
